October 20, 2008 (Oakland, Ca) Cinnamongirl, Inc. (CGI) is excited to announce that actor/author Hill Harper will be making a special appearance in San Francisco on October 25th to discuss his new book, Letters to a Young Sister: DeFine Your Destiny with Cinnamongirl participants. The focus of the 2008-2009 CGI programs is self esteem, coinciding perfectly with the theme of Harper’s book.
Hill Harper is an inspiring public speaker and an impassioned advocate of helping all women to achieve their own destiny. In Letters to a Young Sister: DeFine Your Destiny, Harper shares his powerful wisdom for young women, drawing on the courageous advice of female role models and interviews with young women around the country. He will be spending Saturday morning with the Cinnamongirls, opening up an honest dialogue, offering guidance, advice, and reassurance while urging young sisters to identify, embrace, and go after their own passions and dreams.

About Hill Harper

Hill Harper is a motivational speaker who is currently starring in CSI: NY; which brought him the 2008 Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a drama series. Hill has also appeared in numerous prime-time television shows and feature films, including The Sopranos, ER, He Got Game, In Too Deep, and The Visit. Hill graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from Brown University and cum laude with a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He also holds a master’s degree with honors from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Named one of People’s Sexiest Men Alive, he lives in Los Angeles. Letters to a Young Sister: DeFine Your Destiny is a follow up to his national best seller, Letters to a Young Brother: MANifest Your Destiny.
