CGI is seeking two creative and detail-oriented females for a Program Manager and a Program Marketer & Communications Coordinator to manage and help execute fourteen workshops and activities during the upcoming 2007-2008 school year, between September and June. We are also seeking writing experts and math experts to tutor the Cinnamongirls.

During the internship you will meet many professional women and have a breadth of opportunities available in which to practice and refine your leadership style.

You will interface with professionals, make presentations, manage our recruitment process for mentors and mentees, coordinate events and manage the operations of Cinnamongirl.

You will work closely with the organization’s Executive Director, CGI mentors and the Cinnamongirls. Our process for finding the right interns is selective as we want to ensure this is the right fit for you and the organization.

Cinnamongirl Program Manager and Program Marketing & Communications Coordinator Interns:

A blueprint of the program has already been created and some of the planning of the workshops has been outlined. The main work involves coordination of people, places and activities within those workshops that have not yet been confirmed. With much of the work already completed, it is not certain how much of a time commitment this will be. Some weeks may be heavier than others. For instance, planning and coordination of a workshop may take 5 hours per week. However, 1 or 2 weeks before the event, you may find that you are spending 8-10 hours per week.

80% of the work for this position can be done virtually, while 20% of the work is done via attending the CGI meetings/workshops, which are two per month.
