Richard
CGI Founder and Executive
Director
Through her experience as a corporate manager, community activist,
and volunteer, Ms. Richard has seen and experienced the unleveled
playing field for our children with regard to their academic education
as well as exposure to art, history, culture, career and personal
development.
In the course of her work with women and working with corporate
mentoring programs Ms. Richard has seen the subtle, though
harsh, realities that our women face today. She believes that the
preparation must begin at an early age. Hence, she is committed
to narrowing this gap by providing young girls broader and healthier
perspectives, so that they are better equipped to make decisions
pertaining to their educational and career objectives.
Ms. Richard developed Cinnamongirl Inc. to empower and inspire
each participant to reach her optimal goals and aspirations. She
says, ”We are differentiated only by our experiences. As we
expose our children to diverse leaders, art, culture and careers,
we will positively effect their decisions and ultimately impact
their lives.”
Ms. Richard is a mother of three, community activist, and
is an alum at the University of Southern California. She is supported
by a multidisciplinary team comprised of the Board of Directors,
Advisory Board, staff and community volunteers.
